Master of Science (Technology, Architecture or Landscape Architecture)

The master's degrees granted by Aalto University in the field of science and technology are:

  • Master of Science (Technology)
  • Master of Science (Architecture)
  • Master of Science (Landscape Architecture)

The degrees require studies to the extent of 120 credits (ECTS), including a 30-credit thesis. The education of the degree programmes is organised so as to allow students to earn approximately 60 credits in one academic year and to earn a master's degree in two years.

The 2012 admissions in brief:
  • The application period for the academic year 2012-2013 (starting in September 2012) runs from 2 January to 15 February 2012
  • All required documents must be received by the Admission Services no later than 29 February 2012.
  • The eligible applications are evaluated by the programme staff during March and April.
  • Applicants who have sent incomplete applications or whose application is not eligible are informed of it in March.
  • The admission result is released on 27 April 2012 at the earliest.

    The IDBM program aims to train skilled professionals for key roles in global design business.
  • Machine Learning and Data Mining (Macadamia)
    Macadamia programme gives students fundamental expertise in some of the hottest topics in modern computational data analysis and data mining.
  • Managing Spatial Change
    Programme strives to enhance integration between housing, spatial planning, land use, transportation, industry and ecology.
  • Mechanical Engineering
