Business

The Aalto University School of Economics admits students to the BSc degree Programs at both the Mikkeli and Helsinki Campuses and the MSc degree Programs at the Helsinki Campus once a year. The normal length for a Bachelor’s degree is 3 years and 2 years for the Master’s degree.

Bachelor's Programmes

  • Accounting, Finance and Business Law
    Finance provides capabilities to understand the basic principles of financial markets and their implications to company activities.
  • Business Technology
    Program provides you with an overall view of different business functions and their interdependence, good analytical skills, a strong theoretical background and the ability to apply theories to real-life business problems.
  • Economics
    Program provides a comprehensive insight into the functioning of economies and the environment in which companies operate.
  • International Business, Mikkeli Campus
    The BScBA Degree Program – taught entirely in English – is international in every respect.

Master's Programmes

  • Accounting
    Program in Accounting provides students with in-depth expertise in issues concerning the production and use of financial information of business firms and other organizations.
  • Creative Sustainability
    The main aim of the programme is to develop competences and skills in the areas of project management, design, cross-disciplinary operations and activities, systematic sustainable design and sustainable business.
  • Economics
    Studying economics develops both analytical thinking and academic insights in addition to promoting the ability to apply economic theory to a wide range of economic phenomena.
  • Entrepreneurship
    Program offers the students an outstanding opportunity to learn how to behave entrepreneurially and create new ventures in a global context.
  • Finance
    Program in Finance offers high quality teaching that is directly applicable both to strategic decisions and to day-to-day management of the firm.
  • Information and Service Management
    Interdisciplinary education with a wide perspective on managing global and increasingly electronic business operations.
  • International Business
    The objective of the program is to provide students with competences and tools to analyze, plan, manage and work for international organizations.
  • International Business Communication
    Program focuses on the strategic role of communication in the global operations of multinational companies and other internationally operating organizations.
  • International Design Business Management
    The purpose of the IDBM program is to develop world-class expertise in global design business management through multidisciplinary research and learning that cuts across the areas of business, design and technology.
  • Management
    The new Master’s programme in Management is multidisciplinary and academically challenging. It aims to provide the business world with active, responsible and creative professionals.
  • Marketing
    Program in Marketing provides students with conceptual tools and analytical skills for identifying customer needs and for building long-term customer relationships that provide value for all parties involved.
